Way back in the day (well about 12 years ago), I was in music school up in Boston and there was a talented songwriter name Phil Dubnick. I’m pretty sure I produced a song of his for a project of mine, including a 1 minute fade out of a single piano chord a la “A Day in the Life. Well, yesterday I caught up with him to say hello and took some portraits. It was early afternoon on a sunny day. Just about the least fun light you could imagine, but with a fold-able diffuser or a little shade, you can make it work. The results below.
Also, I get a lot of emails asking about my look and how their photos don’t look like that out of the camera. Well neither do mine, as you can see by the untouched version I posted below.
