Bulova Watch
Back in 1994, my father gave me a 1952 Bulova watch with it’s original crystal, engraved on the back with a message very unlike my father. It’s one of my prized possessions, but I generally don’t wear it. Both because I don’t tend to wear watches and honestly I’m afraid of losing it. It fell off my wrist once when the band broke as I was getting off a subway train a few years ago and ‘almost’ fell onto the tracks between the train and platform.
I figured it was about time I took a picture of it. Click to blow-up.

Macro Walk-around
Got a 100mm macro lens a few weeks ago for some experimentation.
Had lunch with Craig Ward so I thought I’d try it as a walk-around.
It’s weird thinking small.

Day 75: Hard Drive
I have a lot of hard drives around my place. I’m less of an external enclosure guy and more of a bare drive in pelican case which I can hot swap kind of guy. Nerdy? Yes. Cheaper and cooler? Hell yes.
Anyway, this is the mechanism of a 500GB Western Digital drive that had a disconcerting click when in use so was therefore retired from active service. Thought it would be fun to crack it open.
