The night group shots.
OK, so here are two examples of the group shots from last Wed. The first is what you get when I did my best to equalize the background and foreground lighting. Though Thomas in the back left is a bit soft. The other is a composite of a separate background exposure I did before everyone got there while there was still light. It’s fine to me, thought in comparison to the first I think it looks less organic and a little too pasted in.
Lindsay
From Mary super done-up on digital with studio lights, to my lovely friend Lindsay on film with sunlight. Gotta keep it interesting…
Mary
My good friend Mary came by for some pictures again this afternoon. Some of the results are below. Special thanks to Colby Smith for doing an amazing job on the make-up.
Rob
A couple of months ago I got an email from an old professor of mine at Berklee. Apparently he saw some of the photos I took of Jhumpa Lahiri in the Improper Bostonian and so looked me up.
Anyway, I was in Boston last week with my friend Jonathan who was visiting from LA and so we stopped in to say hello to some of our ex-teacher friends. Rob is now the chair of the dept though, so he got a portrait taken. 😉
By the way, I ended up bringing my 5D instead of the 1DsIII. While I love the images it gives, the weight is killing me when traveling. I can’t wait to get my 5DII when they ship. I’ve already got my pre-order in at onecall.
Below is a quick portrait I shot of Rob while I was there.
POZ – Waheedah Shabazz-El
A little while back, I mentioned how I had a couple nice assignments in a row, but I had to wait to show everyone. Well, one of them has been published, so I guess I can post them now. Plus my favorites pre-cropping/CMYK printing.
Bhairavi
Here are a couple of pictures that I took for one of those assignments a couple weeks ago. I had about 10 minutes before the sun was gone, but I think they’re pretty nice. I can post them, because the clients not going to end up using them. <blank stare>
